The assembler and franchise holder of Chery vehicles has partnered with Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) to support this year’s Ember-Months Safety Campaign aimed at reducing end-of-year road accidents.
The 2025 campaign, themed “Take Responsibility for Your Driving: Stop Distracted Driving,” spotlights driver behaviour as a critical factor in preventing crashes.
As part of the collaboration, Carloha donated reflective safety jackets for FRSC RS2 officers in Lagos to improve visibility during public-education patrols. The company also supplied flyers containing road-safety tips to distribute among motorists.
Commenting on the partnership, Carloha’s Marketing GM, Felix Mahan, said the initiative underscores the firm’s commitment to promoting responsible driving not only through vehicle safety technology, but also through public-safety education. He noted that even vehicles equipped with advanced driver-assist systems are only part of the solution; driver discipline remains essential.
On its part, the FRSC’s Lagos RS2 Zonal Command expressed gratitude for the private-sector support, saying the donation will help officers carry out more effective awareness campaigns during the high-traffic festive season.
The Ember-Months campaign, spanning from September to December, is FRSC’s annual public-safety initiative to reduce road-accident fatalities a time historically associated with increased travel and crash rates across Nigeria.
