Engages passengers and staff on upcoming customer service improvements

In a proactive move to strengthen passenger experience and frontline engagement, the Managing Director of the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC), Dr. Kayode Opeifa, paid an unscheduled visit to the Idu Train Station.

During the visit, Dr. Opeifa took time to interact with passengers and staff, particularly the Public Relations personnel stationed at the terminal. He used the opportunity to announce the imminent rollout of a revamped customer service initiative aimed at improving the overall travel experience across NRC stations nationwide.

The announcement was met with enthusiastic applause from passengers, who described the development as a “welcome and long-overdue step” towards a more responsive and commuter-friendly rail service.

“This is the kind of leadership we’ve been hoping for,” one passenger remarked. “It shows that NRC is listening and ready to improve.”

Dr. Opeifa reiterated the Corporation’s commitment to delivering on the Renewed Hope Agenda by prioritizing customer satisfaction, operational excellence, and safety.
