AD Ports Group, a major global ports, logistics and maritime operator based in the United Arab Emirates, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Nigeria’s Federal Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy to explore strategic cooperation across ports, logistics, maritime services and digital trade infrastructure.
The MoU was signed on 19 January 2026 by Captain Mohamed Juma Al Shamisi, Managing Director & Group CEO of AD Ports Group, and His Excellency Adegboyega Oyetola, Nigeria’s Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, following high-level discussions with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on expanding trade, shipping and logistics ties.
Under the agreement, both parties will explore investment and development opportunities in Nigeria’s maritime ecosystem, including port efficiency upgrades, enhanced logistics services, economic and free zones, and digital trade platforms designed to strengthen supply chains and improve trade connectivity.
