Value Jet Announces Launch of Commercial Flights from Ogun State’s Gateway International Airport

Gateway International Airport (GWI) in Ogun State is set to commence commercial operations, with Value Jet airlines scheduled to begin regular flights to Abuja starting Thursday, October 7, 2025.
The airline received the necessary regulatory approvals to operate two weekly flights on Tuesdays and Thursdays. According to the published schedule, Value Jet will depart GWI for Abuja at 8:30 AM, arriving at 9:45 AM. The return flight will leave Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja at 4:00 PM, landing at GWI at 5:15 PM.
Tickets for the new route will go on sale starting Thursday, September 25, available through the airline’s website, travel agents, and ticket desks at the Gateway International Airport.
The launch is expected to significantly improve air travel connectivity for residents and businesses in Ogun State, Ibadan, and surrounding areas, providing a direct link to the capital. The state-of-the-art airport also offers an alternative for travelers accessing Lagos and other destinations.
