ValueJet to Launch Lagos–Accra Flights, Expands Regional Presence

Nigerian start‑up carrier ValueJet has announced the launch of its Lagos–Accra service, marking the airline’s second regional route and a significant step in its West African expansion strategy.

The inaugural flight is scheduled for March and will operate daily from the new terminal of Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos, connecting two of the region’s busiest economic hubs.

Omololu Majekodunmi, Managing Director of ValueJet, described the route as a milestone that extends the airline’s footprint beyond Nigeria while strengthening ties between the two dynamic economies.

The service is expected to cater to growing demand for business and leisure travel between Nigeria and Ghana, with potential benefits for tourism, trade, and cross‑border collaboration.

To support the expansion, ValueJet has reinforced its fleet with CRJ‑1000 aircraft, aimed at improving operational efficiency on both regional and domestic routes. The airline is also leveraging competitive fares and targeted promotional offers to attract passengers in an increasingly competitive market.

With operational support from Ghana Airports Company Limited, ValueJet said it aims to deliver a reliable and seamless travel experience.

“As the countdown to the inaugural flight begins, the Lagos–Accra service is shaping up as a strategic bridge, linking people, markets and opportunities across West Africa,” the airline stated.
