Air Peace has expanded its fleet with the delivery of a fourth Boeing 777-200ER, registered as 5N-CEG, reinforcing its readiness for upcoming long-haul operations including the planned Abuja – London service. The aircraft arrived at Murtala Muhammed International Airport on Friday, 22 August 2025, and was welcomed with a ceremonial water salute.
Configured with 312 seats (26 Business Class, 286 Economy), the aircraft is scheduled to enter service within two months on routes to London Heathrow and Gatwick. Air Peace Chairman, Dr. Allen Onyema, emphasized the strategic importance of the acquisition, noting it supports the airline’s goal of providing affordable, world-class international travel options for Nigerian passengers.
The carrier continues to broaden its global footprint, having established services to Antigua and Barbuda and St. Kitts and Nevis, with future expansion targeted toward São Paulo and additional European and South American markets. Dr. Onyema also acknowledged the supportive policies of President Bola Tinubu and Aviation Minister Festus Keyamo in strengthening Nigeria’s aviation industry.
This delivery solidifies Air Peace’s position as the largest carrier in West and Central Africa, enhancing its competitive presence on intercontinental routes.
