Nigerian Railway Corporation Confirms Abuja-Kaduna Train Derailment, Initiates Emergency Response

The Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) has officially confirmed the derailment of a Kaduna-bound train on the Abuja-Kaduna route earlier today. The incident occurred at approximately 11:09 a.m. at KM 49, between Kubwa and Asham stations.

In a statement released via its official social media channels, the NRC announced the immediate activation of its emergency response protocol. “Emergency rescue, medical personnel, and nearby hospitals have been mobilized. A full security team is on-site, and efforts are underway to safely return all passengers to Abuja,” the corporation stated.
