The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has issued a warning to motorists following a severe traffic gridlock on the Kubwa Expressway in Abuja on Monday, September 8.

The disruption occurred after a trailer overturned, obstructing a significant portion of the road and causing extensive delays for morning commuters.

In an official statement, the FRSC urged drivers to exercise patience and caution while efforts to clear the obstruction are underway. The Corps also emphasized the importance of careful driving to prevent accidents in the congested area.

“Motorists are advised to be patient and ply the road with caution as efforts are being made to remove the obstruction,” the FRSC stated.

The Kubwa Expressway is a critical transportation link connecting Abuja with neighboring communities such as Suleja and Madalla in Niger State. Kubwa itself is one of the largest residential suburbs in the Federal Capital Territory and a major hub for commuters.

FRSC officials are currently on site managing the situation and working to restore normal traffic flow. Motorists are encouraged to consider alternative routes where possible to avoid delays.
