The Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) has appointed Barrister Adenike Adeyeye Iyelolu as its new Registrar of Ships, following approval from the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola.

Iyelolu, a seasoned maritime legal expert with over 25 years of experience, previously served as a Deputy Director at NIMASA. Her work spans maritime law, arbitration, procurement, contract management, and corporate governance.

Her four-year term will involve overseeing the Nigerian Ship Registry and reporting directly to NIMASA’s Director-General, Dr. Dayo Mobereola.

The appointment follows the retirement of her predecessor, Barrister Tajudeen Giwa, and underscores NIMASA’s commitment to strengthening maritime governance.
