FG Showcases Investment Opportunities in Aviation

The Federal Government has unveiled a range of investment opportunities in Nigeria’s aviation sector, assuring potential investors of full government support and incentives to boost the industry’s growth.

Speaking at the 2025 FAAN National Aviation Conference in Lagos, Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, highlighted key areas open for private-sector participation, including airport infrastructure development, aircraft maintenance facilities, leasing companies, and cargo logistics hubs.

He noted that Nigeria is strategically positioned to host a regional Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) centre, which would reduce reliance on overseas servicing and save airlines millions in operational costs. Keyamo also encouraged investors to take advantage of emerging prospects in airport terminal upgrades, runway expansion, and advanced passenger-processing technologies.

FAAN Managing Director, Olubunmi Kuku, called for partnerships that will bring global expertise into airport management and green aviation solutions, including biometric systems and sustainable infrastructure.

The government’s renewed investment drive, officials said, aligns with President Bola Tinubu’s broader plan to modernise the aviation industry and strengthen its contribution to national economic development.
