The Lagos State Parking Authority (LASPA) has reiterated its commitment to developing a sustainable, technology-driven and coordinated parking management system to improve service delivery and urban mobility across the state.

The General Manager of LASPA, Mrs. Adebisi Adelabu, disclosed this during a recent interview, where she highlighted the importance of stakeholder collaboration, public compliance and private-sector participation in achieving the authority’s objectives.Adelabu explained that technology and innovation remain central to the agency’s approach to modern parking management, noting that effective implementation depends on accurate data, reliable systems and proper integration among relevant government agencies.

She said LASPA was putting measures in place to improve operational efficiency and ensure that motorists can identify authorised parking personnel. These measures include the introduction of verifiable QR-coded uniforms and identification cards for approved parking agents and marshals, alongside appropriate technological solutions.

The LASPA general manager also called on private-sector organisations to partner with the authority to expand parking infrastructure and improve service delivery. She noted that government alone could not meet the growing infrastructure and service needs of Lagos, particularly in areas such as transportation, healthcare, education and childcare.
