The Ministers of Transport and Marine and Blue Economy, along with other key stakeholders in logistics and transport, are set to headline the 2025 Transportation Correspondents Association of Nigeria (TCAN) Summit. Scheduled for September 24, 2025, the event will focus on driving growth and development within Nigeria’s transport system.
Now in its second edition, the summit serves as an essential annual platform for dialogue among industry leaders, regulators, and transport professionals to address critical issues and develop actionable strategies for sectoral improvement.
Under the theme, “Driving the Transport Logistics Value Chains for Economic Growth,” the summit will feature a keynote address by Dr. Kayode Opeifa, Managing Director of the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC). Panel discussions will cover topics such as intermodal cargo evacuation, waterways transport regulation, aviation milestones, and maritime security.
Prominent participating organizations include the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA), Nigerian Shippers’ Council (NSC), and others from both public and private sectors.
Mr. Tola Adenubi, Chairman of TCAN, emphasized the importance of collaborative effort, stating, “All stakeholders must unite to optimize opportunities within Nigeria’s transportation landscape to enhance the nation’s logistics value chain and quality of life.”
TCAN comprises journalists from major national media outlets specializing in transport sector coverage and operates as a subgroup of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ).
