Air Peace has reportedly filed an application with Brazil’s civil aviation regulator (ANAC) to launch a once-weekly Lagos–São Paulo Guarulhos service, with a proposed start date of December 15, 2026. The route is slated to be operated using a Boeing 777-200ER.

However, the airline has yet to officially confirm the route or open ticket sales. If finalized, the service would mark a significant milestone, restoring the first scheduled direct air link between Nigeria and Brazil in 32 years, since Varig withdrew from the route in 1994.

The filing follows Air Peace’s receipt of Brazilian operating authorization in June 2026. It also aligns with previous statements by Air Peace CEO Allen Onyema, who announced plans for nonstop flights to São Paulo following the delivery of the airline’s second B777-200ER (registration 5N-CEG) in March 2025.
