The Ogun State Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has reported that four persons died and eight others sustained injuries in a lone accident on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway. The incident occurred at approximately 1:30 a.m. on Sunday in front of Christopher University.

According to a statement issued on Monday in Abeokuta by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Mr. Afolabi Odunsi, the crash involved a commercial Toyota Hiace bus with registration number AGL 789 YL. A total of 13 persons; 11 adult males and two adult females were involved in the accident.

Preliminary investigations revealed that a burst tyre and excessive speed caused the driver to lose control of the vehicle. The injured victims were promptly taken to Famobis Hospital for medical care, while the bodies of the deceased were deposited at the Idera morgue.
